It represents a community coming together to support a meaningful cause.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp data-start=\"678\" data-end=\"858\"\u003eEach April, we host Makers for a Cause, a fundraiser during Autism Awareness Month to support a local South Florida special needs school that serves children with autism.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp data-start=\"860\" data-end=\"1187\"\u003eHaving a daughter who is autistic and non-verbal has opened our eyes to the additional needs they have. While they may not speak with words, we believe deeply that every child deserves a voice, however that may look to them. The funds raised from this event help provide communication tools, technology, and resources that empower these students to express themselves and connect with the world around them.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp data-start=\"1189\" data-end=\"1352\"\u003eLast year, thanks to the generosity of this incredible maker community, we raised\u003cstrong data-start=\"1271\" data-end=\"1286\"\u003e \u003c\/strong\u003e$4,000 for the school.
